Lone Star Girls' Coach Arrested for Dribbling with Girl

(Nacogdoches, Texas) A 33-year-old girls' basketball coach at Nacogdoches High School, Dayna Crenshaw, was arrested yesterday for allegedly having an improper relationship with an 18-year-old female student.

School district police were contacted April 25 about allegations by student saying she had been involved in a sexual relationship with a teacher.

In an affidavit for a search warrant, an officer said he had "reason and evidence to believe that Crenshaw knowingly and intentionally had a sexual relationship with a student between the dates of Dec. 1, 2007, and March 31, 2008."

Crenshaw was booked into custody and released on $15,000 bond.
