Party Mom Gets Prison in Teen Sleepover Case - Updated

(Doylestown, Pennsylvania) Yesterday afternoon, 39-year-old Angela Honeycutt was sentenced to 11 and one-half months in prison by Bucks County Court Judge John J. Rufe.
Rufe sentenced Honeycutt to serve 81/2 to 17 months in the Bucks County prison for the two misdemeanor crimes. Then he tacked on an additional three to six months for violating her probation on an unrelated drug conviction.

The judge told Honeycutt that under the law she was no different from a man who had taken advantage of teenage girls, acknowledging that some people see a double standard in cases such as hers.

"Some people might even suggest that you committed a crime with no victims," the judge told Honeycutt. "The Pennsylvania Legislature has made no distinction, and neither do I."
Well, holy-moly! Finally, a female guilty of corruption of minors is sentenced in accordance with the law and not some arbitrary double standard. Good going, Judge Rufe. You da' man!

Women Avoid Serious Charges in Teen Sleepover Case - Updated
[Previous 12/5/08 post]
(Doylestown, Pennsylvania) In a mild surprise, a Bucks County jury found Angela Honeycutt guilty on two misdemeanor counts of corruption of a minor.
Jurors found Honeycutt not guilty of statutory sexual assault -- a second-degree felony that carries a maximum sentence of 10 years -- as well as unlawful conduct and two counts of indecent assault.

She was convicted of two counts of corruption of a minor and faces a sentence of three-to-14 months on each count.
It appears that the testimony of the two teens wasn't sufficient to convince the jury.

Leaving court, Honeycutt took full responsibility for behaving badly and making a series of bad judgments. She was released on $15,000 bail pending sentencing.

No sentencing date was reported for Honeycutt. The same holds true for Lynne Long-Hinham, 45, who was convicted of endangering children and corruption in September.

Women Do Boys
[Previous 6/12/08 post]
(Lower Makefield, Pennsylvania) A 38-year-old local mother of two, Angela Honeycutt, has been arrested for being nasty with teen boys.

Allegedly, Honeycutt got frisky during a sleepover at friend Lynne Long's house and was naughty with six boys, ages 14 to 16.
According to a police report, Long encouraged the boys to listen by a bedroom doorway while the two were having sex.

"First, there's conversation, and then the female defendant takes one of the males into her bedroom and allegedly has sexual intercourse with that one male. When she was finished, she then takes another male into a shower and indecently assaults that male. Now, prior to all of this we understand that she exposed herself to the entire group of youngsters," Lower Makefield Police Chief Ken Coluzzi said.

In addition to exposing herself, police said Honeycutt also kissed some of the teens and engaged in conversations of a sexual nature.
Both Honeycutt and Long were booked and released.
