Texas Teacher Indicted for Sex with Male Students

(Brazoria County, Texas) A 35-year-old teacher formerly at Willowridge High School, Melvina Strickland-Terry, has been indicted on sex charges. She allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual relationships with two male Willowridge students under 17.

Strickland-Terry faces charges of indecency with a child, sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between an educator and student.
The investigation started March 28 when police from the Fort Bend Independent School District contacted Brazoria County Sheriff's Office about the allegations.

Sheriff's detectives said the incidents happened at the teacher's apartment.

Strickland-Terry resigned from the school district shortly after the allegations surfaced, said Fort Bend ISD spokeswoman Mary Ann Simpson.
Strickland-Terry surrendered to police yesterday. Bail is set at $75,000.
