(Danville, Pennsylvania) A 45-year-old youth developmental supervisor, Lisa Croak, was arraigned this week on charges of institutional sexual assault and corruption of minors for allegedly engaging in sex with a 17-year-old inmate at the North Central Secure Treatment facility.
Police said the sexual incident occurred during the first half of July when she was working an 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift. Sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. about July 17, she entered the youth development counselor office with the teen who began to masturbate and she then performed oral sex on him, according to the charges.Croak is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Montour County District Judge Marvin Shrawder on August 21.
Croak told police she knew this was inappropriate and told the teen she could not have that type of relationship with him.
The youth reported the incident to other staff members and Croak confessed to it when questioned by police, according to the charges.
Croak was suspended without pay from her position with the state Department of Public Welfare. She has been released on her own recognizance.
