Disenfranchised Voters
Call me suspicious. There have been hints lately that the definition of voter disenfranchisement is being redefined by the mainstream media and political spokespeople. No longer does it specifically mean that people have been denied the right to vote, it's now being used to describe people who have the right but don't care or are just too lazy to get up and vote.
Like I mentioned, I suspect the language is being massaged.
I believe that people who simply, for whatever reason, are not inclined to vote are soon to become the "disenfranchised," a word with fiery connotations.
