DMV Going International

If you live or visit Europe, be prepared for the real possibility that traffic infractions and penalties in countries other than your own will show up on your driving record. An international department of motor vehicles has been proposed.
Thousands of Britons flashed for speeding in France each year may soon be getting points on their licence back home, it has emerged.

Transport authorities in France say they intend to drive through new European rules to stop foreign motorists putting their foot down with impunity.

The worst culprits are the Germans, followed by the British and Italians.
Other measures proposed are a Europe-wide license plate and registration system and cross-border punishment and suspensions.

And so, Europe dances closer and closer to a big brother utopia with no borders and no sovereign nations.
