(San Francisco, California) Raids at a dozen Bay Area locations yesterday by federal agents resulted in the arrests several suspected Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) members. According to U.S. Attorney Joe Russoniello, it was a "major takedown."
It's always good news when criminal illegals are busted. Check the link for the whole story.
Curiously, though, the statement from Mayor Gavin Newsom's office which, of course, had to weigh in on a major takedown in the San Francisco area, borders on ludicrous.
Nate Ballard, spokesman for San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, said the city's police department has worked with federal authorities on the case for years "and we are proud of the investigative work that our Police Department has been involved with."What a bunch of hooey. They're trying to take credit for something they aggressively work against. It's fairly common knowledge that San Francisco is kissy-faced impunity for illegals, criminal or otherwise.
I hope San Franciscans don't buy this pungent bull manure. Per direction of Newsom and the city council, illegal alien criminals have had free reign in the sanctuary city of San Francisco so now we are to believe that there has been cooperation with the federal agencies? Hah!
The mayor and his buddies are obviously playing to the useful idiots.
For comparison, it's reported that Richmond Police officers actually assisted federal agents in conducting the raids. You can bet your plums that if any San Francisco Police officers had assisted the feds, they would likely be assigned to a warehouse paper-pushing job.
