Hard Facts About Viagra

Viagra, chemical name sildenafil, is being used by millions of men to treat erectile dysfunction and it has become the fastest-selling drug in history. Here are a few facts that users may not know.
- Viagra combined with nitrate-containing drugs, such as those prescribed for heart problems, can cause a dramatic drop in blood pressure resulting in stroke, heart attack or death. "Poppers" (amyl nitrate) used on the night clubbing circuit produce the same dangerous drop in blood pressure.

- Exposure to Viagra has been linked to infertility because it damages the sperm's ability to penetrate and fertilize eggs.

- Side effects of Viagra use include headache, flushing, dizziness, indigestion and blue-tinged or blurred vision. The Food and Drug Administration requires users to be advised of possible blindness and deafness.

- Viagra is only effective if the user is sexually aroused. This fact creates a circumstance called the Viagra divorce where a man uses the drug but is doesn't work around his wife.

- Reportedly, at least half of the Viagra tablets sold on the Internet are counterfeit.

- Taking Viagra with grapefruit juice enhances the sildenafil level in blood.

- Red watermelon contains chemicals that work like Viagra.

- Italian researchers have found that the herb horny goat weed has the same effect as Viagra. Now that's ironic!
