Woman Jailed for Compelling Daughter to Prostitution

(Dayton, Ohio) A 39-year-old local woman, Rachel White, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after attempting to compel prostitution by a minor. White and a man, Michael Melvin, were originally arrested for trying to prostitute White's daughter at a hotel last April.

Montgomery County Judge A.J. Wagner called White's actions "disgusting."

Michael Melvin was previously sentenced to a year in prison last July for the same offense.
