Man Faces Life in Prison for Killing Dog
(Vancouver, Washington) A 39-year-old, two-time loser, Ronald Chenette, was convicted yesterday in Clark County Superior Court of fatally shooting a dog named Dakota, a five-year-old German shepherd owned by the Vancouver Police Department.
Previously convicted of second-degree murder and second-degree assault, Chenette now has his third strike and, therefore, will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Chenette will be sentenced on December 1.
