(Lonoke, Arkansas) A 34-year-old local woman, Debra Romero, was arrested yesterday by Lonoke County Sheriff's deputies for selling drugs outside the courthouse while visiting as a spectator in a friend's proceedings.
Romero has been charged with possession and delivery of methamphetamine.
Romero exited the courthouse, completed a drug deal with undercover officers, then returned inside.Romero was booked into the Lonoke County Jail with bond set at $20,000.
Investigators retrieved Romero from the courtroom and transported her to the Lonoke County Sheriff's office.
Further investigation resulted in the locating and seizing of methamphetamine and prescription pills from Romero's vehicle, which was in the parking lot.
Now, if someone is conducting illegal business outside the courthouse in the middle of the day, it's reasonable to suspect that the person has a few neurons misfiring.
