(Oak Grove, Louisiana) Former English teacher and coach, Brittany Sumrall Johnson, 26, has admitted to sending sexually suggestive emails to a 14-year-old male student.
For pleading guilty to a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, Johnson was sentenced to probation.
District Attorney Billy Coenen said special terms of 26-year-old Brittany Johnson's 2-year supervised probation forbid her to teach or have contact with anyone under the age of 17.Johnson ultimately resigned her tenured position with the school system.
He says the judge suspended a 6-month jail term and ordered Johnson to pay $500 plus court costs.
It's worth noting that Johnson, as an English teacher, was somehow able to write garbage such as:
"oh yea and in the closet, I so wanted to grab you and pull u in there and shut that door and take full advantage of you..."How in the world did Johnson ever get credentials as an English teacher?

[Previous 1/9/09 post]
(Bastrop, Louisiana) A 26-year-old English teacher and girls basketball coach at Kilbourne High School, Brittany Sumrall Johnson, has been accused of sending inappropriate messages to a 14-year-old student.
The reports claim Johnson sent messages asking the 14 year old boy for sex. The family wants her arrested and for her to resign or be dismissed. The boy's parents are adamantly demanding an investigation due to the nature of the emails sent by Johnson. For example:
“The school system and administration of Kilbourne High School investigated these allegations right before we got out for the holidays,” West Carroll Superintendent Kent Davis said. “We gathered our information and met with Mrs. Johnson and [another party]. The information was forwarded to the sheriff’s office.”
Davis said Johnson did come to work Thursday after reports showed up on Wednesday.
“As of right now, Mrs. Johnson is still working. She is a tenured teacher,” Davis said. “If that comes to be, we will certainly take appropriate measures. I will do what I legally can.”
West Carroll Sheriff Jerry Philley said “we do have a complaint. It’s being investigated. We are going to try to complete our investigation and turn it in to the district attorney’s office.”
Some of the e-mails stated: "And oh my gosh did u look hot! I can't wait 4 u 2 play varsity (so) we can hook up on the bus on the way home lol!,"; "oh yea and in the closet, I so wanted to grab you and pull u in there and shut that door and take full advantage of you..."; and "has anyone ever told u that u have a fine a-- and body?"Expect more on this story shortly.
Several of the e-mails reminded the boy to delete the messages and not to share their relationship.
