Treasury Secretary-designate Timothy Geithner told the Senate Finance Committee that he was sorry that he didn't pay his taxes."These were careless mistakes. They were avoidable mistakes."Interesting.

As I recall from reading somewhere, Al Capone said something quite similar just before his handcuffed and shackled carcass was hauled off to Alcatraz. I don't think Geithner even received the equivalent of a parking ticket.
