State Sovereignty

Given the blatant political bias of the mainstream media, it's not surprising that this information hasn't been reported.
States are finally starting to rebel against the federal bureaucracy. So far, eight states have introduced resolutions declaring state sovereignty under the Ninth and Tenth Amendment to the Constitution.

The resolutions are designed designed to reassert state authority through a rollback of federal authority under the powers enumerated in the Constitution, with the states assuming the governance of the non-enumerated powers, as required by the Tenth Amendment.
It's nice to see that some other Americans are actually reading the Constitution. I would contend that the Constitution is less the law of the land and more like a list of suggestions in today's world.

Of course, it's worth mentioning that the expansion of federal influence in the states is customarily a direct result of the individual states asking for and receiving federal dollars with hawser-like strings attached. Sovereignty claims will likely be ignored unless the states quit wallowing in the federal trough.

Nonetheless, it's an issue pleading to be debated with the involvement of all Americans. For that, expect no help from the mainstream media.
