Gay Soldiers

According to Democrat Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia, Americans overwhelmingly support repeal of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy in the military. It's not clear where he gets his data. Nevertheless, big news was announced today on the subject.
Thirty-eight graduates of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., came out of the closet Monday with an offer to help their alma mater educate future Army leaders on the need to accept and honor the sacrifices of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender troops.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems that unit cohesion would, to some degree, be affected if soldiers had to worry about whether somebody was watching their behinds instead of their backs.

Additionally, since "don't tell" is a lawful regulation which has been violated, one must suspect that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender troops believe that disobeying lawful orders is acceptable when they disagree with them.
