Pedophiles Seek Hit Man?

Last week the news broke that the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) offered $10,000 to anyone who would shoot New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo in the face. The alleged contract was offered in response to Cuomo's reported support for civil commitment laws which allow extra incarceration for child molesters beyond their court-ordered sentences.

Subsequently, NAMBLA claimed the hit man story was a hoax. However, a follow-up story said it wasn't. Since then, it's gone back and forth -- yada, yada, blah, blah. Thus far, the only noteworthy consequence has been that Andrew Cuomo beefed up his security force.

Now, I've been troubled by this story for the past few days because nothing about it makes sense. NAMBLA typically maintains a low public profile so why would the group announce intentions of letting a contract for the murder of a high-profile politician? Doesn't make sense.

Also, even an idiot professional hit man wouldn't likely take a contract that has been discussed in the media. Professional murderers also avoid the spotlight. Furthermore, since child molesters are considered the lowest classification in the universe of crime, where does that place the hit men hired by child molesters? It would require a hit man of uncommon stupidity to take the contract.

Lastly, it seems that NAMBLA would logically have to look no further than its own ranks for a hit man. To some degree, every member is a sociopath, traumatized earlier in life. According to report after report by psychiatrists and psychologists, virtually all pedophiles molest children because they were themselves molested as children.

Like I said, nothing about the story makes sense.
