Sikh Officers Want Bullet-Proof Turbans

(London, England) Inspector Gian Singh Chakal, vice-chairman of the newly-formed British Police Sikh Association, has called for research on synthetic fibers to manufacture a bullet-proof turban so that Sikh officers can fill positions requiring protective headgear.

Sikhs policemen desire to become firearms officers but can't because their religion requires them to wear cloth turbans.

Sadly, it looks like the trend is to ultimately have a designer police force where every peculiar belief system has its own rules and uniform. It's nuts.
