Remarking on a story from Minnesota, the names are unimportant. In a nutshell, a high school student complained that two of his teachers harassed him "about his perceived sexual orientation."
Blah ... blah ... blah .... The school system decided to pay off the student without admitting to any culpability.
Other corrective actions included reassigning one teacher for two days of "reflecting on equality and diversity in the classroom" and imposing a two-day unpaid suspension. The other teacher has not yet been punished.
Additionally, the school system must submit to the Minnesota Department of Human Rights:
... training materials related to student harassment, its complaint process and sexual orientation as a protected class for the department’s approval. [my bold]I suggest George Orwell was right. Some people are more equal.
