(Heppner, Oregon) Former track coach and math teacher at Heppner High School, Wendy Cannin, pleaded guilty earlier today to felony charges of rape, sodomy, sexual abuse and sexual misconduct stemming from engaging in sex with two boys, ages 15 and 17.As a result of the guilty plea, Cannin was sentenced to three years in prison.
Upon completion of her prison term, Cannin must register as a sex offender. She resigned her teaching position shortly after her arrest last year.

(Heppner, Oregon) A 30-year-old track coach and math teacher at Heppner Junior/High School, Wendy Cannin, was arrested yesterday for allegedly engaging in sex with two teen boys, ages 15 and 17.
The sexual episodes reportedly occurred on and off school grounds over a period encompassing the whole summer after beginning sometime before the end of the last school year.
Cannin faces charges of rape, sodomy, sexual abuse and sexual misconduct. She was booked into custody at the Umatilla County Jail with bail set at $40,500.
