Nun Murdered on Navajo Indian Reservation

(Navajo, New Mexico) A 64-year-old Roman Catholic nun with the Diocese of Gallup, Sister Marguerite Bartz, was found beaten to death Sunday morning at her residence on the Navajo reservation at the Arizona-New Mexico state line.
Authorities and officials with the Diocese of Gallup say they're not sure whether Bartz or the church were the target, or if the attack was random.

A colleague found Sister Marguerite Bartz's body after she didn't show up to Sunday Mass in the community of Navajo on the Arizona-New Mexico border. Investigators believe the 64-year-old was killed sometime between Halloween night and Sunday morning. A colleague who went to check on her discovered her body.
Authorities found Bartz's vehicle abandoned in Arizona. The FBI is investigating.
