Blackwater, India Cause Suicide Bombings, Want Pak Nukes

(Karachi, Pakistan) During a Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ijtema (gathering) yesterday, Ameer Munawar Hassan, announced a three-day protest against the U.S. and India for December 14 through 16 to express outrage about the suicide bombings caused by the American organisation, Blackwater, and Indian agents.

Hassan claimed that no Muslim was involved in bomb blasts or suicide attacks.
A large number of party workers, including women, attended the Ijtema. They chanted slogans against India and US, and in favour of the “Islamic revolution”. The JI Ameer said that by following the path of Qura’an and Sunnah, the country could be steered out of the present critical situation. “The JI’s ‘go America go’ rally has mobilized public support and with this movement we will steer the country out of the morass,” he claimed.

Three resolutions were passed. One demanded that the government take decisions in the best interest of the country, announce its disassociation with India and the US, and establish relations with the Muslim world.

In another resolution, the JI demanded that the media “make more sacrifices” and create awareness amongst the people with particular reference to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and prepare the country to face the challenges posed by the West.
In summary, a religious party leader officially protests Blackwater and Indian agents for causing suicide bombings and tells the Pakistani leadership that the nation needs to follow the teachings of Muhammad.

Meanwhile, JI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch held a public meeting yesterday in Lahore during which he claimed that the U.S. and India want Pakistan declared a failed state so that the nuclear arsenal can be confiscated.

Notably, Jamaat-e-Islami is the oldest religious party in Pakistan, wielding considerable influence.
