(Terry County, Texas) In June 2009, Kristen Dill, a 37-year-old local woman who served as president of a parent-teacher organization for the Wellman-Union School District, was arrested for allegedly engaging in sex with underage boys, 15 and 16.
Dill was charged with sexual assault. In a written confession, Dill admitted to sexual relations with the boys, both Wellman-Union High School students.
After pleading guilty to a lesser charge, Dill was sentenced this week to probation.
Tuesday, Dill left the courthouse with no sexual assault convictions. Instead, a judge sentenced her to 10-years deferred adjudication for injury to a child.According to Lubbock attorney Rod Hobson, a man committing the same crimes against young girls would have been sent to prison. Heh, no kidding.
That means she's on probation, and if she doesn't violate the terms of her probation, it will not stay on her record. While she cannot work at a school or daycare, she does not have to register as a sex offender.
