Arizona Teacher Accused of Theft

(Surprise, Arizona) A 42-year-old substitute teacher formerly at Desert Moon Elementary School, Jeannette Guyer, has been accused of stealing a school computer. She has been charged with theft and possession stolen property.
School district officials told police that they had purchased and installed tracking software for their computers. The software works similarly to LoJack® tracking systems for cars.

Ortega said the tracking company remotely traced the computer to Guyer, who had moved to Pennsylvania. However, information gathered during the investigation led Surprise police detectives to believe that Guyer would be moving back to Arizona.

On Jan. 21, police confirmed that she was in Surprise and in possession of the computer.
I'd suggest that Guyer didn't know about the tracking software.
