Florida Teacher Accused of Drink, Drug and Fleeing Charges

(Largo, Florida) A 55-year-old art teacher at Southern Oak Elementary School, Luann Fernandez, was arrested last week for allegedly driving drunk, fleeing the police and possession of marijuana.
According to the spokesman, the sheriff's office got a tip that a woman who might be impaired was leaving a restaurant. Deputies, using their lights and siren, tried to pull her over but the woman accelerated and wouldn't stop.

After deputies caught up with her at her residence, Fernandez performed a field sobriety test and soon after Fernandez was arrested. The marijuana was found during the investigation, the spokesman said.
Fernandez was booked into custody at the Orient Road County Jail and released on $3,000 bond.
