(Fairfield, Connecticut) A 27-year-old man, Albert Bailey, and a teenage accomplice were arrested for allegedly trying to rob a bank via call-in.
The call came in to the People's United Bank in Stratfield Center around 3:00 p.m. The caller stated that he was sending someone in and that the teller should hand over $100,000.(ring-ring)
By the time one of the suspects walked into the bank, police were already on their way. As the suspect started to head towards a getaway car, where a 16-year old juvenile was waiting to drive off, police were able to block them in.
"Hello, People's Bank. May I help you?"
"Stick 'em up! This is a robbery. Package $100,000 and I'll be by to pick it up."
Pretty dumb, eh?
