Here's to you, Mr. Robinson. Jesus loves you but boosting lunches is a big no-no.

(Auburn, New York) Stealing students' lunches sounds a lot worse than what this guy allegedly did. The kids were not denied food.
A third-grade Genesee Elementary School teacher was arrested by the Auburn Police Department Friday after he was accused of using his students to steal government-funded school lunches for him, police said Monday.

Alan W. Robinson, 37, is accused of having three of his students use their personal identification number to purchase school lunches for him with no intention of paying them back, police said.

The students were enrolled in a subsidized lunch program but often brought their own lunch to school, police said.

The APD began their investigation after a parent notified the school that someone made unauthorized charges to a child's lunch account, police said.
Robinson reportedly admitted to the offense. He was booked and released on his own recognizance. Charges of endangering the welfare and petit larceny are pending.

My question: Why do some students get subsidized lunches when they bring lunches from home?
