Florida Teacher Accused of Drug Possession
(Manatee, Florida) A 27-year-old substitute teacher with Manatee County Schools, Heather Bergeron, was arrested by Manatee County Sheriff's deputies last week for possession of a controlled substance.
During a traffic stop, Bergeron was found in possession of "a prescription pill, two syringes and a metal spoon with a white burnt substance in her purse."
Bergeron was booked into custody and released Sunday on $2,120 bond.
Notably, the presence of syringes and a spoon indicates heroin, methamphetamine or something is likely being mainlined and intravenous drug use is a step more serious than simple drug possession.
