Remember Terry Jones? He's the Florida pastor who planned on burning a Koran on "International Burn a Koran Day" but later changed his mind after receiving telephone calls from Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and U.S. Army General David Petraeus.
Well, Pastor Jones was promised a brand new car from New Jersey dealership owner Brad Benson if he didn't burn a Koran.
Terry Jones -- Brad Benson
Although Jones claims he didn't know about the promise until after he canceled the burning, he called Benson and said he wanted the car.
"They said unless I was doing false advertising, they would like to arrange to pick up the car," Benson recalled. So Jones didn't burn the book and gets a 2011 Hyundai Accent valued at $14,200. Heh.
At first he thought it was a hoax, so Benson asked Jones to send in a copy of his driver's license. He did.
