MSNBC suspended Keith Olbermann without pay for making campaign contributions when specifically prohibited by the company's rules.
Despite the official reason cited, I suspect that management is sending Olbermann a message regarding his offensive and incendiary on-air rhetoric.
There's a difference between being assertive and being unhinged. Arguably, Olbermann is frequently viewed as unhinged.
