Cartel Leader Extradited to U.S.

(El Paso, Texas) Thirty-three-year-old Jose Rodolfo Escajeda, aka El Riquin and El Rikin, has been extradited from Mexico to face drug trafficking charges in the United States.

A high-ranking member of the Juárez drug cartel, Escajeda is considered one of the bloodiest hitmen in the state of Chihuahua. Among numerous murders, he is accused of lining up and killing 17 patients at a rehabilitation clinic in Ciudad Juárez.

Escajeda is on the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's most-wanted list for marijuana and cocaine smuggling into the United States.

I'd suggest that it's probably impossible to conduct a fair trial in Mexico. Gunmen would likely shoot up the courthouse.
