Medicinal Coca-Cola

Persimmon Bezoar

A bezoar is a rock-hard mass that develops, usually in the stomach, and fails to pass through to the intestines. Several conditions lead to the formation of a bezoar. One is the consumption of unripened persimmons.

Interestingly, evidence shows that persimmon bezoars can be treated with the oral administration of a liter of Coca-Cola before each meal. Logically, 1000 milliliters of Coke would also likely suppress one's appetite.

In times past, bezoars were thought to have magical powers as a universal antidote for any poison. Typically, the king with a bezoar in his drinking glass didn't need to have one of his subjects test his beverage before taking a royal drink.

In any event, since Coca-Cola is being used as medicine, it should no longer be classified as merely a sugary soft drink subject to the taxes and prohibitions sought by political special interests. It's medicinal.
