Illinois Educator Accused in Sex Case
[Previous 3/4/11 post]
(Naperville, Illinois) A 58-year-old teacher's aide at Indian Prairie School, Deborah Cox, was arrested yesterday for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a male former student.

Cox faces two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
According to police, the relationship between the aide and the student — for whom she had been an academic tutor for several years — took place between January and May of last year. They do not believe Cox was involved with any other students, or that any of the alleged contact took place on the school campus.
Cox was booked into custody at the Will County Jail and released on $5,000 bail. A court appearance is scheduled for April 4.
