Texas Teacher Gets Probation in Sex Case - Updated

(Wichita Falls, Texas) Earlier today, 31-year-old former teacher at Iowa Park High School, Wendy Fox, pleaded guilty to having an improper relationship with a student.

As a result, Fox was sentenced by 30th District Court Judge Robert Brotherton to eight years of probation.
Fox told Judge Robert Brotherton in court Friday morning she had been hospitalized for a mental disease or defect in the past, but she was found competent to stand trial.

Her guilty plea is accepted, but she is not found guilty upon completion of community supervision.

She was also ordered to submit to drug and alcohol tests as well as a mental evaluation to determine what, if any, treatment she might need.
If Fox successfully completes her probation, her name will be cleared of any charges.
