Carolina Teacher Accused of Sex with Student

(Hendersonville, North Carolina) A 38-year-old "Exceptional Children" teacher at North Henderson High School, Leslie Lamb Messer, was arrested last Thursday for allegedly engaging in sex with a student.

Messer has been charged with a felony sex offense which reportedly occurred in June 2010.

Henderson County Public School System officials said Messer is still employed with the school system.

“This is an ongoing investigation, and we are certainly cooperating with law enforcement in any way we can,” said Bill Parker, assistant superintendent.

Messer was booked into custody at the Henderson County Detention Facility and later released on $10,000 bond.
