(Noosa, Australia) A 23-year-old local man, Christopher Ian Petrie, has been accused of driving a motorized beer cooler while drunk and driving without a license. Petrie reportedly was given a ticket.
The coolermobile is outfitted with a 50cc engine which means that it has all the power of an overloaded moped. Obviously, Petrie would have difficulty maintaining pace with normal automobile traffic on the highway. It's a novelty item.
A quick search of the web will show that motorizing a cooler is not a new idea. However, I suspect this is the first time an actual motor vehicle citation has been issued.
