Multicultural Walmart
Yesterday, Walmart VP Tony Rogers announced a new multicultural campaign at a diversity conference in Miami.
Mr. Rogers intends to make multicultural marketing part of everything Walmart does. Bonuses will reportedly be linked to multicultural performance.
From the world's largest retailer, expect to see its trademarked slogan translated - "Ahorra mas, viva mejor."
Given that there are millions of potential customers in the U.S. with poor or no English language skill, Walmart is simply adapting to the marketplace. As a business strategy, multicultural marketing makes sense.
