China Bans Foreign TV Shows

(Beijing, China) The ChiComs are taking action against western cultural influences.
China's TV broadcasting regulator has announced that foreign TV shows will no longer be aired during prime time, state media report.

The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) says these shows cannot be aired from 19:30 to 22:00.
Any foreign programming to be aired must be reviewed for violent or vulgar content. Violations will result in severe punishment.

Frankly, I suggest the ChiComs are more concerned about Western political influences prompted by cultural changes.
