No Jail for Strapping Kids to Car - Update

(Fort Wayne, Indiana) In July 2012, 29-year-old Aaron S. Stefanski pleaded guilty to four class D felonies for strapping his kids to the hood of a car and driving.
Subdued and seemingly repentant Stefanski told a judge in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Friday he regretted his actions, adding, 'I let alcohol make the decision for me.'
As a result, Stefanski was sentenced Friday to four years in prison with two and one-half years suspended and the remaining time to be spent on probation.

(Fort Wayne, Indiana) A local man, Aaron S. Stefanski, and woman, Jessica A. Clark, both 29, have been accused of strapping four young children, ages 4, 5, 6 and 7, to the hood of a car and going for a ride.

A witness reported the episode and a U.S. Marshal pulled the couple over.
The man had a blood-alcohol content of 0.17 percent, more than twice Indiana's legal limit for driving, [police spokeswoman] Foster said. The man and woman's relationship was unclear.

Bond was set at $13,000 for the man, while the woman has a $2,500 bond.
The couple face felony neglect charges. Stefanski also faces charges of driving while intoxicated.
