Carolina Woman Accused of Hiding Drugs in Buttocks

(Spartanburg, South Carolina) A 38-year-old local woman, Tamara Shane Turner, has been accused of smuggling a bag of pills into the Spartanburg County Jail by hiding it inside her buttocks.

Turner faces a charge of furnishing or possessing contraband.

The warrant states that on Wednesday while she was being arrested, Turner attempted to bring Ativan into the jail.

After a deputy saw Turner acting suspiciously, a guard searched Turner and asked her if she had anything on her, according to an incident report.

After initially claiming that she did not, Turner retrieved a small pink bag of pills from her buttocks, the report states.

The pills were placed into evidence.
