(Kansas City, Missouri) The 83rd annual MLB All-Star Game ended last night with the National League team blowing out the American Leaguers by a score of 8 - 0.
Arguably, the game was decided in the first inning as the National League scored five runs off American League starter Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers. The American Leaguers couldn't recover. Verlander, one of Major League Baseball's best pitchers, just didn't have his usual mojo.
Interestingly, it has been suggested that Verlander's poor showing was due to the fact that he spent last weekend with Kate Upton, one of the world's most lusted after supermodels.
Verlander may have been too pooped to pitch.
