Bayou Woman Accused of Teaching Prostitution to Minor

(New Orleans, Louisiana) A 25-year-old local woman, Emilie "Bunny" Cook, has been arrested for teaching a 16-year-old girl how to be a prostitute on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter.

Cook faces a charge of trafficking children for sexual purposes.

According to a State Police arrest report, Cook arranged prostitution work for herself and another woman -- later identified as a 16-year-old girl -- on Nov. 26 in the 300 block of Bourbon Street.

Cook "negotiated a deal" for herself and the minor to perform oral sex on a man, who actually was a plainclothes NOPD detective, the report says. The detective agreed to pay the women $500. Both women were then arrested.

The minor told police she was 16 and had run away from home in Jackson, Miss., according to the report.

$500 seems pricey for an everyday street hooker, eh?
