Louisiana Teacher Gets Probation for Sexting Student - Update

(Eunice, Louisiana) Former Eunice High School teacher Jacqueline "Jackie" Fruge pleaded guilty this week to sending semi-nude photos of herself to a former student.

For misdemeanor obscenity, Fruge will serve three years probation.

(Eunice, Louisiana) A teacher formerly at Eunice High School, Jacqueline "Jackie" Fruge, has been accused of texting sexual messages and photos to a student while employed at the school.

Fruge faces a charge of prohibited sexual contact between an educator and student. According to Eunice Police Deputy Chief Varden Guillory Sr., Fruge has also been accused of having an affair with the school principal.

During the investigation, detectives learned that students were aware of the texts and reported it to the school’s principal, Guillory said.

“Several student and faculty members interviewed said they were aware of an affair going on between her and her principal,” Guillory said. “That may be why he was reluctant to report it to police.

Fruge was booked into custody and released on bond.
