Nightclub Inferno Kills 233 in Brazil

Nightclub Fire 1/26/13

(Santa Maria, Brazil) A band's pyrotechnic show set ablaze a nightclub known as Boate Kiss, killing at least 233 people between last Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
The blaze in the university town of Santa Maria was ignited by sparks from pyrotechnics used by the band for visual effects. They set fire to soundproofing on the ceiling and the club rapidly filled with toxic smoke, local fire officials said.

Most of those who died were suffocated by fumes, fire brigade Sergeant Robson Muller told Reuters. Others were crushed in the stampede.
Officials said more than 1,000 people were likely in the club, exceeding occupancy limits.

The news said there were NO windows at the night club fire, but look at the photo above, you can see the window has been removed, notice the top of the window frame is straight and you can still see part of the window frame sides. I doubt you'd see that in that good of a shape if it were covered over by bricks that were removed by sledge hammers and ax's.
