Carolina Teacher Accused of Theft

(Kinston, North Carolina) A 32-year-old teacher formerly at Kinston High School, Amanda Ann Grady, has been accused of taking money from students.

Investigators with the Kinston Department of Public Safety have charged 32-year-old Amanda Ann Grady with obtaining property by false pretense.

Grady's accused of taking $1,450 in funds intended for a field trip. The alleged incident was reported to police by Lenoir County Schools January 30.

Grady was booked into custody with bond set at $10,000.
