This is an iron mine. Steel is made of iron, and wind turbines are predominantly made of steel. So when the anti-uranium brigade bemoans the incurable dangers of mining and then bows to wind turbines, they’re not being straight with you. Mining isn't pretty but thanks to modern technology and smart engineers, it's perfectly safe and absolutely necessary.

The problem with wind turbines isn't the use of materials. It is that the cost of materials is unsupported by the value that use offers.

The only reason wind turbines are even being used is because politicians bring pork home and some people still believe in a free lunch. Economically it is unsustainable. The sooner the economic tsunami obliterates modern states, the better. Such foolishness will end. Unfortunately, so to may the democratic-republican government model (not the biparty thing). Especially if citizens are disarmed/left without ammunition.
