NYC Teacher Guilty of Rape - Update
(Brooklyn, New York) Special education teacher Evelyn Rogers, 34, has pleaded guilty to raping a 15-year-old boy on at least four occasions between August and September of 2012.
The married mother, who taught at High School for Innovation in Advertising and Media in Canarsie, will also have to relinquish her teaching license and register as a sex offender.Formal sentencing is scheduled for April.
Authorities wouldn’t say whether the 15-year-old was one of Rogers’ students.
Rogers answered the judge's questions in a barely audible voice and left the courthouse with a heavy coat covering her face.

Rogers faces a charge of rape.
Investigators allege Rogers had sex with the student on multiple occasions beginning when he was 15; he is now 16.Details on apprehension and booking are unavailable.
They allegedly had sex "at a location" in Brooklyn, though it wasn't clear where.
