Illinois Woman Accused of Stealing Piggy Bank and iPad

(Prospect Heights, Illinois) Dareka Brooks, a 22-year-old local woman and an alleged prostitute, has been accused of stealing a piggy bank and iPad from a 14-year-old boy.

Brooks faces a charge of armed robbery.

The 14-year-old victim set up the meeting online using a website for sexual liaisons, Prospect Heights police said.

But when the woman arrived at the teen’s residence Wednesday, she allegedly sprayed him with pepper spray and stole the iPad, a piggybank and a jar full of money, authorities said.

Police were able to track the suspect when she later used the iPad.

Brooks was booked into custody with bond set at $10,000.
