(Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) A 37-year-old English teacher at Piedmont High School, Misti Bynum, has been accused of drug possession.
Bynum was arrested to face charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia.
Bynum was arrested about 9:20 p.m. April 30 after police found a baggie and a straw in her purse that had meth residue, according to the police report.Bynum was booked and released on $3,500 bail.
Officers observed Bynum leaving a known drug house in the 6800 block of S Ashby Terrace and pulled her over for a broken brake light, according to the report.
One officer saw Bynum's cellphone in the front passenger seat light up from a text message that read: “50 tabs for $400.”
Police searched through Bynum's cellphone and found multiple drug-related messages that indicated she was exchanging Lortab for meth, according to the police report.
