Virginia Woman Accused of Stealing School Funds
(Caroline County, Virginia) The 42-year-old treasurer for the booster clubs at Caroline County High School, Michelle Sullivan, has been accused of theft from the athletic and music programs.
Reportedly, Sullivan stole more than $7,000.
She was charged with embezzlement after an investigation found she wrote checks from the booster club to a personal account, sheriffs said. Investigators say checks were written for cash and personal expenses.Details on booking are unavailable.
Deputies arrested her after an investigation revealed that there was only $14 left in the school's bank account, according to the Free-Lance Star.
