Texas Educator Accused of Improper Relations with Student

(Greenwood, Texas) Yesterday, former Greenwood ISD Curriculum Director D’Laine Young was arrested for engaging in improper relations with a student.

Young faces counts of improper relationship between educator and student.

“I can truthfully tell you that none of us knew of any of this evidence happening,” said Greenwood Interim Superintendent Ariel Elliott.

Elliot says there were other “circumstances” that led Mrs. Young to resign, however would not comment on what those circumstances were. In a news release put out by the Midland County Sheriff’s office it states that the investigation proves Mrs. Young knowingly had an improper relationship with the victim.

It then follows up by saying she engaged in sexual intercourse while he was enrolled as a student.

Young has been booked into custody at the Wise County Jail.
